Heading Home to Jackson

Heading Home to Jackson

Today Melinda, Otto and I head back to Jackson. We have had a wonderful road trip, but we are looking forward to getting home to hiking, biking and multiple yard projects. Hopefully the black fly season will be short!

The past two days we have been in Rhode Island visiting with Greg’s 90-year mom, Jane. We started our trip visiting Jane and ended up back in Rhode Island. We also spent time with Greg’s brother Keith. A great way to start and end our adventure.

Greg’s dad, Bob, gave Jane her nickname, Bella. Here she is with a smile on her face and twinkle in her eye!

Jane is an amazing mother, grandmother and now great-grandmother. She is brimming with both love and advice. She still lives on her own with her best friend Adelaide living two condos down from her. Keith is the Cal Ripken of brothers, bother-in-laws, uncles and now great-uncles. When we all gather the stories and laughs remind us of the importance of family.

Stargazer has been a champ. We have enjoyed our new home and learning what makes Stargazer click. Our plan right now is to hit the road again this fall and head out across the US visiting parks and friends. Stay tuned!

  1. Congratulations for a successful first journey to visit so many dear friends and family! May all future trips be equally as fun, easy and rewarding! Love, Carol

  2. What a fantastic first road trip! It’s been so good to see photos and hear updates on friends and family. Thanks for taking us along! I hear mud season is in full swing up in New Hampshire!

  3. Jane is 90? Gosh, I have 20 years to arrive at looking that fabulous! Sounds like you had a good maiden voyage with Stargazer. Rest up and come out west in the fall!
