We had traveled to Gallup, NM so we could visit the Chaco Culture National Historic Park, but learned from our RV Park Hosts that the roads were not passable for a Class C RV. So instead we visited El Morro National Monument featuring 2,000 signatures carved into sandstone dating back to ancient Pueblo times. We hiked up to the top of El Morro where we explored a pueblo that once housed over 1,500 people. From El Morro we traveled past…
One of the highlights of our Stargazer Trips is visiting friends. Our time with Jay and Susan Kelly was magical. We had fun times hiking and exploring, catching up while relaxing on the porch and gazing out on the unique Escalante mountain ranges, and enjoying a tasty dinner at the Sweetwater Kitchen. Well I spoke too quickly. The morning after tossing bouquets at Stargazer for being an amazing ride, the troubles began. We woke up in the Grand Canyon and the parking brake would not disengage, the engine light was on, and our wheel sensors continued to not work. We figured out the brake, but had to travel to Flagstaff, AZ Mercedes Benz for repair support. The engine problem was identified and fixed, and this coming Monday we have to head back…

On the way from Sequoia National Park to Morro Bay, CA we passed the James Dean Crash Site Memorial as well as lots and lots of agriculture (oranges, olives, avocados, lemons and more).
