Back in Jackson
Tuesday afternoon we arrived back in Jackson, NH. For the drive from Connecticut north we took Route 91 straight up Vermont. No traffic and great views. The ride from upper Vermont through Crawford Notch, NH included 4-5 inches of snow on the ground, but once we passed over the Notch, no more snow. Jackson is still waiting on a first snowstorm.
During the trip we listened to The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. A perfect tale for a long drive, but although good it was not great. Some loose ends, underdeveloped characters and unbelievable occurrences, but it kept our attention, and easily allowed the driver to continue focusing their eyes and mind on the road.
The trip was a grand success. Many thanks to all of you who followed us. We learned a lot, connected with many friends and family, and increased our Stargazer maintenance skills. Over the next week Stargazer will be winterized and then begins a well deserved winter hibernation including dreaming about and building up strength for our next trip starting in March.
We are very fortunate to have the time and resources to travel. Melinda, Otto and I are a great traveling team and due to our small boat sailing experience easily existed in a compact space with limited luxuries. We wish everyone happy holidays and best wishes for the upcoming year. As it was clear from being on the road, times are crazy and challenges unique, and we encourage President Joe to keep focused on moving our country in a direction where fairness and equity drives our governmental decisions.

So glad you arrived home safely! It was wonderful to have you with us – so many great times (and meals!). Looking forward to the next time. Hugs from Asheville!
Loved following your adventures on the road and so glad that you have Stargazer. Thanks for writing so we can live vicariously. Happy Advent and season of Light in the
dark days of December.
It’s such a blessing to be able to live amiably in small space with few things. So happy that flexibility has opened new opportunities for fun and adventure. <3
