Harley to Harry
We left South Carolina and traveled to Florida. On the way we lost the bottom half of both our side mirrors. Pretty weird that both would fall off during the same day. We had our first rain and Stargazer handled the inclement weather and ruts like an old pro!
Stop 1: Jan and Larry Nelson. Late in the afternoon Stargazer rolled into Ormand Beach and the home of Kim’s parents and good friends, Jan and Larry Nelson. Last December they visited us in Jackson to celebrate Ralph’s first birthday. It was fun being at their home, catching up and talking about Ralph.
Stop 2: Harley Davidson. Larry took us for a spin in his new EV Highlander and then to the local Harley Davidson Store for a tour. Larry is trying his best to teach me about mechanics. A true challenge for even the most patient. Some of the old-school motorcycles were pretty exciting to see.
Stop 3: Harry Potter World. We got up early in the morning and drove to Orlando. We dropped off Otto with a great dog sitter and then met Ann and Greg (up from Sanibel) for a day at Universal Park. The Park was crowded and rides had waiting lines of over 60 minutes, but seeing Harry Potter World was cool.
Stop 4: Sanibel. We left Universal Park late afternoon and got stuck in a major traffic jam. Five hours later we arrived in Sanibel ready for some time off the road and visiting with good friends.
