Back in Jackson
After almost three weeks of no rain, the rains returned. We arrived in Maine to sprinkles but learned that storms were brewing, so we made the decision to head back to Jackson – arriving late Friday afternoon just as the rains began to fall.
The trip was a success. Lots of fun and learning. This was our first trip when we did not have multiple visits with friends along the way. Being able to live both inside and outside of Stargazer makes for easier traveling, but I am amazed on how well we cohabitate in a small space.
For the record we drove 2,256 miles. Much of the driving was on back roads. As we headed into Maine and back to Jackson the fall foliage began to pop.
One of our evening activities was playing cribbage. We may not be following all the rules, but close enough. Cribbage Quote: A substitute for conversation among those to whom nature has denied ideas – Ambrose Bierce.
We are happy to be back and to see Otto. He was missed! Our next big trip is Thanksgiving in Rhode Island with my mom Jane and all family members!

Welcome home! I loved all of your updates. It sounded like a perfect trip.
Welcome home! What a great adventure and tribute to you both in planning and executing in partnership.
Ah fall! Even in Oregon we are having spectacular colors and it’s shirt sleeve weather today, too. Neighbors had a bar b que in their front yard yesterday til past midnight.. these are ‘bonus days’–a break in fall rain with more summer! Enjoy Jackson and tell Jane hi.
You see it’s the travelers thing to do. I am sure it would start conversation over the crib boards
Welcome home! And if you’re looking for some cribbage partners, we’re in!
Home again, home again! We’re so impressed with this continued adventure!!!
