The drive to Vermont from Jackson was stunning. We spent the morning wrapping up last minute details before hitting the road at 12:30 pm.

Strargazer handled the road like a pro and we got to Lincoln, Vermont late afternoon. On the way we drove past Joe’s Pond (Bill and Debbie!!!), Stowe Mountain (the trails looked ready for skiing), and Ben and Jerry’s (Otto was sad we did not stop for a treat).

Lincoln, Vermont is where Larkin Brown (Suzzy and Otter’s daughter) and Sam Peisch live. They purchased a house with 25 acres in May, and although there are lots of future projects – it is paradise! Otto and their dog Lupin had lots of fun romping.

As we got ready for bed, we realized Stargazer’s heat was not working. Melinda volunteered to sleep in the house, while Otto and I braved the weather. Temperatures dropped to below 25! In the morning Otto and I hiked up to a ledge with a spectacular view of Lake Champlain.
