Beauty & the Beast
Saturday was the beast. We spent the day trying to find a RV Repair Shop to solve our heating problem. We have an appointment Monday at 9 am, so hopefully we will get the heating issue fixed on time to head off to Clinton, NY and dinner with the Perretta’s and Rick Werner.
We first searched for RV Repair Shops in Vermont, but then took the Ferry (see Stargazer on the Ferry below) across Lake Champlain to Plattsburgh where we lined up Monday’s repair. Because the appointment is Monday we staid in an Inn as part of the Valcour Brewery where we had planned to stay but in the RV as part of Harvest Hosts.
The beauty is the Adirondacks. Sunday morning we did a loop into the Adirondacks that took us to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid (see Mirror Lake below). In Lake Placid we visited the Ski Jumping Center where we watched 10 year olds jump, and then we went to the Bobsled/Cross Country Skiing Center and watched cross country skiers on roller skis. The day was a bluebird perfect 10 and the views of the mountains were breathtaking.
Cross your fingers that we get heat! Otto does not want icicles on his nose!

Love reading about your adventures. Having driven across the country in Dec. in an RV, I know how important that hearing system is! Our first night out in Kansas was about 20 below 0!!!
Good luck G and M with the repair. Jens and his partner are off in their van, out east somewhere. Lots of hiking and evening socializing. 🙂
Of all the time to have heating issues with the RV, with the last week or so being among the coldest first weeks of November in anyone’s memory.
Hope the heating issue resolves quickly!
