Melinda, Otto and I have been busy since our return to Jackson in early May after our March-May cross country trip. What have we been up to?

• Stargazer spent some time being repaired and fine-tuned for future trips. Most important we added a bike rack extension that allows us to not have to take our bikes off Stargazer each night.
• I organized and attended my 50th High School Reunion from Moses Brown School; connecting with people I have not seen in a very long time.
• For the second year Melinda and I ran the Jackson Public Library Book Sale increasing sales to $4,200. Many more people attended.
• Melinda and friends biked the Cross NH Adventure Trail staying at some very funky and cool accommodations.
• I have continued to hike NH 4000 footers and have completed 40 out of 48. With a few visitors who volunteered to join me on a hike, I might have pushed the envelope a little to far.
• Our yard and gardens continue to flourish thanks to Melinda’s magic touch.
• We attended the New England Yearly Meeting Sessions in Castleton, VT and connected with old friends and met new ones.
• Brendan and I traveled to Northern Minnesota to work with White Deer Reservation on a LERN project.
• Lots of visitors – Cory, Kim and Ralph being the best. They experienced lots of rain (as we have all summer) but did get to Storyland twice.
• I am having a great time with Whitney Community Center programming. Highlights this summer include a Summer Solstice Day, Pictures of Jackson Photography Show, and Introduction to Whittling.
• Our Second Annual Block Party was another success and the weather was amazing.
• Otto has been busy having long walks and keeping an eye out for wild animals. Since we will be doing lots of biking this trip, Otto is staying home with Brendan who his living with us.

We are excited about our upcoming trip and getting back to Canada. OK Stargazer – let’s roll!
